Vaccine sales up 116%

As the first single month with vaccination of the S1’s 2012 it shows that the vaccination of this generation is well off. Normally, the vaccine sales for the S1’s peak in November with its record breaking 41.1 million doses ordered in November 2010. If next month’s sales will get close to last year remains to be seen, but the vaccine sales over the next 3-4 months will be exiting to follow because we find it to be a strong indicator of the direction of the smolt production.

The sales of vaccines for rainbow trout also showed a nice increase with a total of 2.4 million doses compared to 1.7 million doses in October 2010. The sales of PD-vaccine were 14.4 million doses in October, up from 12.7 million doses the same month last year. The twelve month rolling sales per October 2011 show 102 million doses of PD-vaccine/year.
