Vaccine sales down

Accordiing to statistics provided by Pharmaq, the total sales of vaccines to salmon in April 2013 were 4.0 million vaccine doses compared to 5.0 million doses in April last year. Accumulated sales to the S1s 2013 are estimated to 165 million vaccine doses when 21 million doses in September 2012 are calculated as vaccination of S1s 2013 (source: Kontali analyse). The corresponding figure for the S1 2012 generation at the same point of time was 159 million vaccine doses. In 2012 the S1 production ended at 154.5 million smolts.Vaccine sales to trout in April were 2 million doses compared to 740,000 doses in April 2012. Further, it was ordered 1.1 million doses of the PD-vaccine this month compared to 1.5 million doses in April last year. Current twelve months rolling sales of PD-vaccine are 115 million doses. Only 10,000 doses of vibriosis vaccine for farmed cod were ordered in April. Looking at the twelve months trend it is down to 5.8 million doses.
