US$ 8.5 million investment in Employment Program
The aim of it is to support a sector with the most layoffs, basically brought about by the impact of the ISA virus and the alga bloom.
According to Mauricio Jélvez, the undersecretary of labor, the program considers four main aspects, labor mediation, employment benefit, enterprising and training, which will benefit about 5,000 people, especially family suppliers.
The government estimates the unemployment rates of the salmon sector will increase, adding up to about 10 thousand lost jobs until next May.
