Trout supremo sought
As the only full time member of staff the personality of the EO is deemed very important –someone dynamic and self-motivated, who can turn a hand to all aspects of the job whilst continuing to prioritise the association’s longer term objectives is being sought.
Whilst past EO’s have come from a number of diverse backgrounds, applicants should have an understanding of farming and rural enterprise, food production and the retail supply chain and must be familiar with the principles behind successful marketing and generic promotion campaigns.
In addition applicants should have an understanding of the functioning of representational/trade bodies, be able to manage a number of diverse briefs and be able to demonstrate experience of office management and business administration.
Applicants will be expected to have excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills. The full time post is based in Edinburgh but requires travel throughout the UK and on occasion abroad.
