Tragic death on Scottish mussel farm

Jamie Kerr, 25, who worked for Inverlussa Marine ­Services, which operates a mussel farm at Loch Spelve on the isle of Mull, was killed after suffering serious injuries while working on the marine landing craft 'Carol Anne', at Loch Spelve.

The company’s managing director Ben Wilson has paid tribute to Mr Kerr, describing him as “one of our brightest and best”.

The incident is under investigation by the police and the Marine Accident Investigation Branch to establish the exact circumstances of the accident.
