
Tough task for Goycoolea
Christian Pérez The organisation is based on the strategic decision of these companies to develop strong presence in China, and meet growing demand for salmon, giving the efficiency, stability and scale that this market deserves. Mr Goycoolea, who is currently Sales and Marketing director at Blumar, announced his decision to leave his current position on March 31st so that he can assume this new challenge. Goycoolea has an extensive industry experience, having previously held the same position at Pesquera El Golfo for nearly 20 years. In addition, he is on the board of international organizations such as International Groundfish Forum and IFFO. New World Currents achieved promising results in China in 2014, representing 25% of Chilean salmon exports to that market during 2014. The alliance plans to significantly continue increasing sales of salmon in China this year, and assess synergies in other adjacent markets.
