
The Scottish Salmon Company celebrates shortlist success for major award
Staff at the Scottish Salmon Company (SSC) has been shortlisted amongst some of the best Scottish food producers in the country in the ‘Investing in People’ category at the prestigious Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards.
The company is among more than one hundred businesses that entered the 18 award categories, recognising excellence across Scottish food and drink.
The Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards promise to be the food-lovers’ event of the year and will take place on 22nd May.
Speaking as he received the good news about their shortlist success, Craig Anderson, Managing Director at the Scottish Salmon Company said:
“We are delighted to have been shortlisted in this category for our work investing in the company’s people.
“It’s an honour to see our pioneering staff development programmes recognised in this way alongside our industry peers.
“It is a priority for us to identify and improve key skills that are needed by today’s salmon farming operations, how to nurture and develop these skills and then how to encourage the passion of our staff to constantly want to embrace these new ideas and innovations.
“SSC congratulates everyone in the category and I look forward to attending the awards and finding out who will take the top prize.”
