Stewardship info available in French and Chinese

Published Modified

The two new sites join the already existing microsites in German, Japanese, Spanish, and Portuguese, which were introduced last year.

"I am pleased that we can now offer information about the ASC in a wide range of languages. The microsites help us reach and engage with local farmers and companies across the globe more easily," said Esther Luiten, ASC Commercial Manager.

ASC has been working closely with China Aquatic Products Processing and Marketing Alliance (CAPPMA) and WWF China to help promote the responsible production of tilapia in China. The new microsite in Chinese will support ASC's outreach work to the vast aquaculture industry in China.

The launch of the ASC website in French is also very timely as ASC certified seafood is increasingly available in the French speaking markets. The uptake in Belgium is steadily growing, with over 100 approved ASC labelled products to date, while the first ASC certified shrimp arrives in French stores later this year.
