Operating revenues were NOK 67.6 million, down from NOK 70.1 million in the same quarter last year. The reduction is primarily due to the reduction in the fleet by one vessel compared to the same period last year. The fleet utilization has increased from 95 % last year to 98 % this quarter.

Sølvtrans continues to have a strong focus on cost and operational efficiency, and reports of operating expenses of NOK 33.4 million this quarter. This is a reduction of NOK 2.1 million compared to 3rd quarter last year. Operating profit (EBIT) for 3rd quarter was NOK 25.6 million, an increase of 4 % from 3rd quarter 2012.

So far in 2013, Sølvtrans has achieved a profit before tax of NOK 80.1 million, which represents an increase in the profit with NOK 48 million compared to the status at the same period last year.

Sølvtrans took in mid-October delivery of the first of two new vessels from Spain. Ronja Polaris commenced right after arrival in Norway on it's long-term contract with Marine Harvest. Delivery of the second vessel has been agreed to 3rd quarter of 2014.

"We have delivered solid performance and good results every quarter since early 2011. This clearly shows that our strong focus on operations provides results in both the short and long term", says CEO Roger Halsebakk in Sølvtrans. - "We are also very pleased that we after only a few weeks of operation, can conclude that Ronja Polaris is a very good and efficient wellboat," continues Halsebakk.
