Solid profit from salmon farming

For the industry at total, the survey shows pre tax results of 11 billion NOK in 2010 compared to 5 billion NOK in 2009 and 1,2 billion NOK in 2008. The most important reason for this is a very strong demand in the market for salmon and rainbow trout. The average salesprice for salmon increased by 24,9 % to NOK 31,24 in 2010. Rainbow trout increased by 29,9 % to NOK 31,65 in 2010.
