Smoked salmon firm to create 30 jobs

R.R. Spink & Sons (Arbroath), which is part of the Dawnfresh Seafoods group of companies, will deliver two new products as part of the lucrative contracts valued at around £4.5million, the Press and Journal reports.

The first product is chilled smoked salmon in a vacuum skin package, while the second is a range of chilled trout products comprising ready-to-eat pate and seasoned butterfly fillets and portions.

R.R. Spink & Sons will take on an extra 30 full-time employees to help deliver the contracts, which are expected to boost the company’s turnover by 50 per cent the newspaper said.

Factory director and Arbroath councillor Bob Spink said: “This is massive news for Arbroath – the company is moving forward and we are able to provide extra jobs as a result of that.”
