Sernapesca improves regulations related to sea lice
Juan Luis Ansoleaga, director of Sernapesca, commented that this new programme has improved prevention measures and is more comprehensive. It is focused on an early detection and fast elimination where the model is an integrated handling.
Besides, the new PSEVC-Caligus establishes new standards to determine which farms require a high and low surveillance. Moreover, it will probably include in its modifications usage of whole tarpaulins for the pyrethroid bath treatments. Also the first initiatives of pharmaceutical-surveillance will be included.
Now, this programme just needs to be published in the national official journal before its implementation.
