Scottish Sea Farms in three year sponsorship deal for anglers
The sponsorship money will be used to provide trophies and prize money, as well as helping with annual running costs. The club fully expects around 30 competitors from every corner of Scotland to take part on the day, and it promises to be a very competitive day’s fishing.
Lairg Angling Club was formed in 1960 and is based on the banks of Loch Shin, the largest freshwater loch in Sutherland at 17 miles long. Loch Shin offers outstanding fly fishing for trout from both the bank and boats.
Murray Munro, Manager at Scottish Sea Farms, Loch Shin said: “We work hard to protect the fishing environment on Loch Shin and were delighted to have been approached by the club to support this annual competition. I am sure the trophies will be highly sought after on the day. The Scottish Sea Farms ‘£100 Note Trophy’ will be presented for the Best Catch of the Day along with a £100 note, and the Scottish Sea Farms ‘Biggest Fish of the Day Trophy’ will be awarded along with a £50 note. There is also a consolation prize for the ‘Poorest Catch’ or ‘None Caught’ on the day.
Lairg Angling Club currently has over 90 members and is delighted with the excellent trophies and prizes gifted by Scottish Sea Farms.
