Scottish salmon trade leader moving on
Sid Patten, who was appointed as chief of the Scottish Salmon Producers Organisation (SSPO) in January 2006, has handed in his notice. The date of his departure have, however, not been confirmed.
Patten was appointed to launch the newly expanded SSPO. The organisation represents 95% of the Scottish salmon farming industry’s total output.
According to press reports, Patten is leaving the position to pursue other interests, but further details have not yet been revealed.
Details of his successor will be announced in due course, according to a SSPO spokesman.
