The meeting was hosted by Young’s deputy CEO, Mike Parker, together with John Whalen, MD of Macrae in Fraserburgh. It was set up by Young’s to inform the MSP on important issues relating to the Scottish seafood industry. Mike Parker said: “We had an enjoyable and productive meeting with Mr Lochhead. As well as briefing him on our operations in Scotland, we had a useful discussion about some key industry issues. "It is clear that seafood processing will be high on his agenda going forward and we welcome that fact,” he added.
