Scots salmon scoops German award

The bronze award was won by the Forellen Smokery for its cold-smoked whisky-flavoured Loch Duart salmon at this year’s German Agricultural Society show.

Run by the Fath family in Umbirch, a small town near Freiburg, not far from the French and Swiss borders, the business combines a trout farm and smokery with a retail outlet and has been selling Loch Duart salmon, fresh and smoked, since 2010.
