Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards open for entries

Organisers of the awards, Scotland Food & Drink and The Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland, are inviting companies to showcase their products and services and perhaps be lucky enough to join the Excellence Awards Hall of Fame and reap the business benefits associated with a win in this prestigious competition.

The Awards, sponsored by, among others, Clydesdale Bank, will form a major milestone in the Scottish Government’s Year of Food & Drink and the presentation ceremony will take place at Dunblane Hydro Hotel on Thursday, 26 May 2011. The menu will be designed by Scottish chef, Nick Nairn.

For the first time, winners of the Grampian Food Forum Innovation Awards and the Highlands & Islands Food and Drink Awards will be automatically shortlisted in these national Excellence Awards.

Categories for the 2011 awards include retail - fish & seafood, product innovation, healthy choices/healthy eating and international business of the year amongst others.
