Satisfying Q2 for Sølvtrans

Sølvtrans had 100% utilisation of its fleet during the second quarter, up from 96% in the corresponding period last year. Operating income amounted to NOK 70.9 million in the period, down from NOK 72.7 million in the second quarter last year. The reduction is primarily due to the reduction in the fleet by one vessel since the same period last year.

During the quarter, the company further increased its cost efficiency and improved its EBIT to NOK 29.8 million, an increase of 12% from the second quarter last year.

Sølvtrans has two vessels under construction. The first vessel will be delivered from the yard in August/ September and is expected to be fully operating for the customer in September. The second vessel is expected to be delivered during the spring 2014.
