SalmonChile’s Directive Board makes its annual adjustment
Following last year’s important decision in an extraordinary assembly of SalmonChile associates to restructure the Directive Board, two entities were established: the original Directive Board was reduced from 9 to 5 members, and an Advising Board of 23 members was created to determine the lines of action for the Directive Board. During the course of the year Mr. Torben Petersen, ex-general manager of Marine Harvest Chile resigned from his position as Director, leaving only four members on the Board. According to Aqua.cl the decision this year was that 7 was the right amount of members for Directive Board and the members are: César Barros (president), Víctor Hugo Puchi of AquaChile (vicepresident), Francisco Ariztía of Mainstream, José Gago of Acuinova Chile (previously named PescaChile), José Ramón Gutiérrez of Multiexport Foods, and the two new members, José Guzmán of Los Fiordos (Agrosuper) and Álvaro Jiménez (new general manager) of Marine Harvest Chile. As for the Advising Board the same 23 members elected last year remain, and the new members are Alan Cook of Salmones Cupquelán (Cooke Aquaculture) and Gerardo Balbontín of Salmones Itata.
