Salmon vaccine sales dip

So far, 151.8 million doses have been ordered for this year’s Norwegian S1s, close to the 152.9 million doses sold to the previous S1s by the end of February 2014.

Pharmaq, which released the vaccine sales figures today, predicts sales to fall in the next two months, as it is historically a quiet time for vaccinations. In March-April 2014 total salmon vaccine sales were only 13 million doses.

Sales of vaccines against ISA reached 400,000 doses in February. Total sales of ISA vaccines in December-February 2015 reached 2.1 million doses.

February’s rainbow trout vaccine sales were 1.3 million doses, up from 250,000 doses in February 2014.

PD vaccine sales in February ended at 0.2 million doses, down from the 1.4 million doses sold in the same month last year. PD vaccine sales have reached 102 million doses over the last 12 months.

340,000 lumpfish vaccines were sold in February, meaning that the accumulated sales in the first two months of 2015 have been 1.6 million doses.
