The share price of some salmon producing companies last week is only comparable with those ones recorded in the middle of the sanitary crisis caused by the ISA virus a few years ago.
AquaChile represents 60.54 percent of the salmon index. The company had a share price of $ 293.01 (US$ 0.609) last Thursday, August the 23rd, which is the second worst price obtained by the firm since its IPO in 2011.
Multiexport represents 26.06 percent in this index and with a share price of $ 108.00 (US$ 0.224) last Friday, August the 24th, the company recorded its second worst price in the past 2 years.
Invermar (Invertec Pesquera del Mar de Chiloé) represents 7.18 percent of the index. The company has got a share price barely over $ 100 in the past 2 week and with $ 102.12 (US$ 0.212) last Thursday, August the 23rd, this is the worst price period for the company since those prices recorded in 2008 and 2009, in the middle of the sanitary crisis caused by the ISA virus.
Finally, Australis represents a 6.21 percent of the Salmon Index. The company had a share price of $ 64 (US$ 0.133) last Friday, August the 24th, which is the worst price ever obtained by the firm since its IPO in 2011.
