Salmon prices top 40 NOK

According to Akvafakta, the average price of fresh, farmed Atlantic salmon landed at 40.3 NOK per kilo in week 28, up 3.8 NOK/kg from the previous week - the first time it has broken the 40 kroner mark for about two months.

During week 27 salmon exports were up 17.8 per cent by volume compared with the same week in 2013. During the last four weeks, the exported volume has risen 20.6 per cent compared with the same period in 2013. This year's export volume has increased by 9.6 per cent compared to last year.
