Salmon prices on the slide

The Fish Pool Index figures reveal that the slight decrease means that the average price was only €3.87 (NOK 32.32) per kilo – well below the €4.8 per kilo being achieved in the same week of 2013.

Looking ahead, Fish Pool expects prices will begin to rise steadily, however, to peak at €5.20 per kilo in January 2015.

Export volumes were up by 371 tonnes compared to week 41 but down 126 tonnes compared to week 42 in 2013.
