Salmon industry to design long-term strategy
By December of this year Chile’s salmon industry will have earned close to US$ 2.4 billion – a record beyond most optimistic projections. According to a newsbrief from Aquanoticias, the most significant leaders within the industry be involved in a series of think tank meetings in order to define the sector’s agenda for the short, medium and long term. Once their internal study is complete they propose to meet with the Minister of the Economy, Alejandro Ferreiro, to work out issues regarding necessary reforms and initiatives to permit the industry to advance in a sustainable manner.
