Salmon harvests fell 22.8% in 2009

Internannual comparison of results itemized by specie shows a 47.77% decrease in Atlantic salmon harvests from 388,847 tonnes harvested in 2008 to 203,067 tonnes in 2009; an almost equal result in Rainbow trout from 149,411 tonnes to 149,741 tonnes; and a 44.40% increase in Coho salmon harvests, from 92,317 tonnes to 133,308 tonnes.
