Salmon feed up by 24% in May

Figures from the Fisheries and Fiah Farmers Association (FHL) shows that the volume of salmon feed has increased from 59 370 tons in May 2008 to 73 905 tons in May 2009. The first five months 2009 the consume of salmon feed increased by 12% compared to the first five months of 2008.

At the same time the consumption of feed for Norwegian trout shows a downward trend from 7 784 tons in May 2008 to 6 555 tons in May 2009, a decrease of 17%.
