Salmon exports increased 50% up to October
Likewise, the results obtained by the local salmon industry in October 2011 (US$ 231 million) were 35.1% higher compared to those returns obtained in the same month of 2010 (US$ 171 million) according to the monthly report of external trade prepared by the Chilean General Directorate of International Economic Relations (Direcon).
Direcon also explains that all the Chilean exports totalized US$ 68,357 million up to October this year, representing an increase of 20.7 % compared to the same period of 2010, when the country exported products for US$ 56,649.
