Salmon export value up by 25%

Export of Norwegian salmon boosts. An increase of 25% in export value the first five month this year shows a strong demand for Atlantic salmon in the world market. The growth in export value from salmon was 1,7 billion NOK, and totalled at 8,6 billion NOK the first five year in 2009, compared to the same periode in 2008.

The average per kilo price for salmon in May 2009 was 35 NOK. Up 8 NOK (approx. 1 Euro) compared to Mat 2008.
