Salmon average price increased by 8.9%
The information quoted by AQUA details that the local salmon industry has exported USD 1,758 million as of October this year, showing a 13.5% decrease compared to the same period of the last year. Likewise, the sector exported 25,611 tonnes in October, representing a 33% decrease compared to October 2008.
October’s exports itemized by product show 15,328 tonnes (60%) of frozen salmon; and 4,975 tonnes (19%) of fresh-refrigerated salmon; while the remaining 21% correspond to other product lines.
