Reduction in vaccine sales to Atlantic salmon

Still assuming that 16 million vaccine doses in September 2011 were administered to the S1-2012 (source: Kontali Analysis), the number of doses for S1-2012 per February are close to 148 million compared to 139 million vaccine doses to S1-2011 in the same period, according to figures from Pharmaq. Thus, the difference in sales of vaccine doses between the two S1-generations 2011/12, is further reduced. This development is not unexpected due to extensive vaccination taking place last autumn.The sales of ISA-vaccines in February were 415.000 doses which leaves us with a twelve month rolling sales of 7.2 million doses. February sales of PD-vaccine ended at 1.3 million doses compared to 2.1 million in February 2011.The sales of 325.000 doses of vaccine for farmed cod this month, is good news compared to no registered sales in February 2011. The trend seems to have reached a stable level at 2.6 million doses a year.
