Price nears $4/kg
The price in week 32 is 4.8 per cent above that one observed in the previous week, but is 11.2 per cent lower than the price observed in the same week of 2014 (US$ 4.46) and 22.7 per cent below that seen in the same week of 2013 (US$ 5.12).
According to the weekly report published by SalmonEx, the price in the Brazilian market experienced a 4 cent increase in week 32. The size 10-12lb (~4.5-5.4kg), being the most representative, averaged US$ 5.23/kg.
Meanwhile, in the Japanese market, the average price of both frozen HG coho salmon and frozen HG trout remain unchanged. The price of both products averaged ¥ 660 (US$ ~5.30) per kg.
