PPS East wins local award

The award, sponsored by HBP Systems, was presented in recognition of PPS East, who provide and developed new solutions to promote business growth or competitiveness for companies who are willing to embrace fresh thinking and add value to their business. Over the last year, PPS East renewed a major contract with seafood giant Young’s and has expanded its partnerships with many of the seafood businesses in the Humber area, UK and abroad to deliver a new supply chain concept.

The Grimsby-based business employs 26 people and specialises in re-usable bulk transport packaging such as plastic pallets, crates, boxes, trays, etc for the seafood industry and is part of a sea-change towards a greener supply chain.

The innovative nature of their reusable products and the new hygienic wash systems PPS has recently put in place, has enabled seafood customers to get their most valuable product from sea to plate with less cost, lower carbon emissions and no packaging waste, which in itself is an innovative achievement.
