Peruvian companies interested in Trusal
According to the financial journal Diario Financiero, the assets of Trusal are valued in around US$ 70 million. Meanwhile, he company had produced around 27 000 and 30 000 tonnes of salmonids last year worth US$ 150 million.
This would not be the only Chilean company looking for partners. Most of them need fresh capital to keep growing and many of these firms are not in conditions to get loans from the banks.
Besides, production costs have increased after the sanitary crisis faced by this sector due to the ISA virus. At present, the production of one kilogram of salmon requires close to US$ 2.20 investment in working capital only.
