“We found what we were looking for,” Sarena Lin, senior manager for Feed & Nutrtion in Cargill told Fishfarminexpert. The American company, with headquarters in Minnesota, has 150,000 employees worldwide and offices in 64 countries.
“For Ewos and our customers, this is very exciting. This will make us even better,” said CEO Einar Wathne with a smile.
Wathne also congratulated all employees in Ewos, as they now have an owner that will focus on what they are already doing.
Sarena Lin says that they now want to make Ewos a part of the Cargill family.
“We believe in seafood and aquaculture. Cargill has a 150 year history, but it's just the last 20-30 years that the company has manufactured feed. We are now focusing on the salmon industry, which is a natural extension of this commitment,” she said.
Why Ewos?
“Because we found a company culture and a knowledge-based environment that matched Cargill very well,” answered Lin, adding that she was impressed with the Ewos Innovation and research station in Dirdal.
“We operate a knowledge-based industry and rely on the research-based efforts we make to develop the products. We find this in Ewos,” she concluded.
