Ocea purchase Prona

- The acquisition makes us one of the leading providers of aquaculture technology world wide, says CEO Hans Runshaug in a message from the company. Chilean Prona has a market share in Chile of  50%, and the turnover in 2007 was 80 million NOK. Prona employs 30 persons.

Over the last couple of years, Ocea has invested 120 million NOK in acquiring companies. - Our goal is to be the world leading company in cages (steel and plastic), feeding systems, feed barges, software and monitoring systems, says Hans Runshaug.

Oceas total incom in 2007 was 220 million NOK. This year the company expects the incom to be 280 million NOK. The major stock holders in Ocea are among the biggest technology producers in Norway.
