NRS seeks 40% growth

“NRS has been awarded 9 new green licenses at a price per license of MNOK 10. In addition NRS was awarded a new license earlier in 2014, which is now in production. This can potentially give NRS a capacity growth of 40 per cent, where a large part of the production of the Group is based on green criteria, which gives a more sustainable production, as well as strengthens the Group's position in Region North further. The Group is in a position to take this challenge,” says CEO, Charles Høstlund.

The announcement follows the publication of the company’s Q4 results, which reports an operational EBIT of MNOK 59 and an EBIT per kg of NOK 12.80, prompting the board to propose an ordinary dividend of NOK 1.50 per share.

“The reason for the strong quarterly result is that the production cost has significantly improved from the previous quarter, as well as good salmon prices. In addition, growth in the quarter was good in both regions,” says Høstlund.

For the financial year 2014 NRS had operating revenues of MNOK 2,600, achieved an operational EBIT of MNOK 158 and a profit before tax of MNOK 321.

5,421 tonnes gutted weight was harvested during the quarter, 35 per cent less than in the same quarter last year. The volume reduction is the main reason why operational EBIT for the quarter was lower than the same quarter last year.
