New case of ISA

Christian Pérez According to Sernapesca, the company was notified last Monday after detecting the HPR3 strain of the virus during routine sampling conducted under the sanitary programme of control and surveillance of Infectious Salmon Anaemia (ISA) run by Sernapesca.   Sernapesca has restricted all movements to and from the site and is conducting surveillance inspections on the affected area and the farming site. Under this preventive sanitary campaign, the ISA status will also be monitored on farms located in the neighborhoods surrounding the suspect site. Allegedly, the economic impact from this case and its subsequent mandatory harvesting would not be high given that the salmon in that site has already reached harvest size.
