New appointment at Moray Seafoods will boost shellfish development plans
Tyson (52), who was previously the general manager of crab processor Burgons of Eyemouth, brings considerable expertise to Moray Seafoods where he will now play a crucial role in spearheading the Buckie based company’s plans to broaden its scope and develop a wide portfolio of premium shellfish products to complement its core langoustine business.
Vaughan Tyson said: “I am delighted to be joining Moray Seafoods at this tremendously exciting time for the company and my initial focus will be on further developing the company’s crab business. The range and quality of shellfish found around the Scottish coastline is second to none and I believe there are huge opportunities to expand the company’s offering of premium shellfish products for the UK and international markets.
“An important element of my new role will be to further develop partnerships with our supply base, which we anticipate will bring real benefits to our valued fishing communities around the coast.”
