More than 400 to AquaVision
“It is a pleasure to announce that a large number of leading professionals from the aquaculture industry have already registered for AquaVision 2014,” says Steven Rafferty, head of Skretting Group and member of Nutreco’s Executive Committee. “The number of conference delegates is growing on a daily basis and we are now expecting that more than 400 stakeholders from 35 countries will be in attendance. We are especially pleased that over 50 delegates from South America, with a strong participation from Chile, have confirmed their participation.”
With world-class speakers such as Sir Bob Geldof who is best known for organising the Live Aid charity super concerts, Climate Strategy Professor Jörgen Randers from the Norwegian Business School, IMD Business School Professor Stèphane Garelli, Innovation Professor David Robertson from Wharton School and Dr James Anderson of The World Bank, AquaVision 2014 actively sets the scene for important discussions in the industry.
“Food production must increase substantially if we are going to adequately feed a world population that is forecast to grow considerably over the coming decades. That alone is difficult, but doing it sustainably and with minimal impact on biodiversity makes the challenge even greater,” says Rafferty.
