Minister for the Environment and Climate Change visits Scottish Sea Farms' parent company in Norway.

During the visit Mr Wheelhouse observed firsthand the benefits that a modern, hi tech, salmon farming industry can bring to rural areas. SalMar as a successful and progressive farming business have an ongoing investment programme to promote the environmental and sustainability attributes of salmon farming.

Commenting following the visit, Scotland's Environment Minister Paul Wheelhouse said: "I was delighted to visit Froya  to share experiences and best practice with one of Norway's leading salmon farming companies who have a good track record of investing in Scotland through their subsidiary company Scottish Sea Farms.
