Calysta signs first contract for salmon gut simulator
SalmoSim, a start-up company that uses a gut simulator that mimics the digestive tract of Atlantic salmon, has secured its first commercial contract. The company will conduct a trial for California-based Calysta, which produces a feed protein ingredient, FeedKind, based on single-cell proteins (SCPs) created from bacteria that feed on methane (natural gas).
