Nutriad has been bought by fellow feed additives manufacturer Adisseo.

Aquafeed additive maker swallowed up

Aquaculture feed additive manufacturer Nutriad has been bought by Adisseo, a subdisiary of chemicals giant China National BlueStar.

Nutriad has four laboratories and five plants in Belgium, Spain, Chester in the UK, China and the US.

It manufactures feed additives for pigs, poultry, fish and shrimp, and cattle. Its aquafeed additives are designed to reduce the impact of diseases and parasites, improve digestive and metabolic efficiency and improve appetite and feed attractiveness.

In a statement, the companies said Nutriad’s product range, the species addressed, and its target markets are highly complementary to Adisseo’s and will allow the combined business to implement integrated solutions.

Adisseo is a world  expert in feed additives, with seven research centres and production sites based in Europe and China. It has more than 1,900 employees, and serves around 2,600 customers in over 100 different countries.
