Salmon price dips but stays above last year
The spot price of Norwegian salmon fell by NOK 2.48 / kg to NOK 44.94 / kg last week (week 40), which is NOK 5.19 higher than in the same week last year.
The average salmon price so far in 2020 is NOK 57.15 / kg, which is also higher than the NOK 56.83 / kg achieved during the same period in 2019, according to data provider Akvafakta.
Norway exported 29,431 tonnes (round weight) of salmon in week 39. This is 4.9% less than the same week last year.
So far this year, 899,000 tonnes have been exported, 1.2% less than in the same period in 2019.
