Ocea recently signed an agreement with Marine Harvest Norway for a feed barge with 750 ton load capacity. - This is our largest steel barge, says sales manager of Ocea, Knut Bjarte Otterlei. The fleet measures 30x18 meters and specifications are developed in close consultation with Marine Harvest Central Region, Ocea ‘s product manager for fleets, Runar Hatlevik and staff at the site, as well as Olaf Reppe and Terje Olsen. The fleet will be located at ta site in the outer part of the Trondheims Fjord and delivered in summer 2014 . - Clearly, this is fun for us says, Knut Bjarte, and we are proud to be prefered by Marine. We notice a growing demand for larger fleets both in terms of load capacity and storage. One of the most obvieous trends in the fish farming industry points toward larger and more exposed sites. As a consequence the demand for larger and more robust tool are growing. The fleet is also supplied with an extra large control unit designed to feed two sites simultaneously. The fleet will be equipped with a FeedStation central feeding system with 8 feed lines, two large docks, remote door openers for contactless delivery and system, Ocea Barge control for control and monitoring of vital parameters, deadfish container in stainless steel integrated into the hull, electronically controlled floodlight system, and a 10 cubicmetre rainwater tank .
