The wellboat’s operator started work to transfer the mortalities from the Heimdall to another wellboat on Saturday, four days after the Heimdall went down.

Fuel is also being removed from the Heimdall, operated by the Detroit Chile shipping company, before it is raised and towed to port.

Weather conditions have remained stable, allowing work to be carried out at the site night and day.

The causes of the accident are being investigated and Chile’s maritime authority has not revealed any information on this subject.
