Cod continues to win awards

UK: Shetland based fish farming company Johnson Seafarms has scooped yet another award for their No Catch organic cod fillets. The brand has now won a dozen awards since it was first launched one year ago. The cod farmers beat off strong contenders at a competition held by the Marketing Society of Scotland, and took the Marketing Achievement Award for their No Catch product line. The No Catch brand has achieved a huge amount of interest since it was introduced. The company has gone from having an initial deal to stock 160 Tesco stores, to 500 stores including Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Planet Organic. Managing director Karol Rzepkowski told local news source Shetland Marine News that this was the 12th accolade the company had won since the launch of the No Catch brand in May 2006. "No Catch is fast becoming one of Europe's leading lifestyle brands. We are thrilled to receive this award as it recognises our achievements in educating consumers of the importance of sustainable food production, and celebrates the runaway success of the brand with consumers and food professionals alike," he said.
