Cermaq Canada names a new freshwater director

Cermaq has appointed a new freshwater director for its operations in Canada.

Janusz Wicikowski, who succeeds former freshwater director Dusan Munjin, has more than 30 years' experience in the aquaculture industry. He joined Cermaq in 1997 and has held several roles since. Most recently Wicikowski held the position as hatchery manager at Boot Lagoon, a Cermaq hatchery located on Vancouver Island.

Wicikowski has been the acting freshwater director at Cermaq Canada for a few months. News of the official appointment was posted on the Cermaq Canada social media platforms.

Cermaq, owned by Japan’s Mitsubishi Corporation, farms salmon in Norway, Chile and Canada. It has 28 operations in British Columbia, Canada and employs 275 people in the province.
