The company is Chile’s largest salmonid farmer, producing around 249,000 tonnes of Atlantic salmon, coho and rainbow trout last in 2020. It is also Chile’s largest exporter of salmon to Russia, sending more than 15,000 tonnes last year.

Staff from AquaChile’s offices in Russia and Europe took part in the event that attracted the participation of more than 350 companies.

The perfect platform

AquaChile sales manager Alejandro Cuevas said the forum was the key event of the seafood sector in Russia and the perfect platform for aquaculture professionals to promote international trade, advanced equipment and technology.

“As AquaChile we are very happy to have participated, it was an opportunity to receive all our Russians at our stand, as well as a large number of customers from the Middle East,” said Cuevas.

“In addition, it allows us to understand what aquaculture products the Russian consumer needs and to know trends in this post-Covid world of aquaculture.”
