Trilingual writer joins Salmonview team
Fish Farming Expert’s sister publication, Salmonexpert.cl has hired 37-year-old Erich Guerrero as its new executive editor.
Erich, who is fluent in Spanish, Norwegian and English, moves to the new role having been general manager of the same company four the last four years. He brings plenty of industry experience, having worked as general manager of Alvestad Marin, and as commercial manager at Storvik and Atlantium Technologies. In addition, he was a sales manager at Salmonexpert's parent company, Norsk Fiskeoppdrett, in Norway, from which position he also had responsibility for developing the company's business in Scotland and Canada.
During the last five years, he has actively contributed to the development of Salmonexpert and Salmonview products.
"My goal is to continue the work to make Salmonexpert the leading provider of technical information for the salmon industry in Chile," he said on appointment.
"The quality of content is everything. Our readers value our publications and trust in the technical value we deliver,” he added. "It is important to have a knowledge of the salmon industry at an international level, to gain a wider understanding of the industry, although we will focus on the situation in Chile.”
Together with Daniella Balin as web publisher, the editorial team in Chile is formed of Patricio Feest as technical editor and by journalists Loreto Appel and Jonathan Garcés. In addition, as part of the Salmonview family, it has the support of editorial staff in Norway, Scotland and Canada.
