The 56-year-old has over three decades of financial experience in international business and the biosciences industry. For the past 11 years he has been Chief Financial Officer at Berendsen plc, the leading FTSE 250 European textile service business. Previously, Kevin held senior finance positions within biosciences group Amersham plc and before that was a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers (Prague).  He will Chair the Audit Committee and sit on the Remuneration Committee.

Commenting on the appointment, Benchmark's Chairman, Alex Hambro, reflected: "We are delighted to welcome Kevin to the Board of Benchmark. His skills and experience in large international companies will prove especially valuable as Benchmark continues to integrate and grow its global aquaculture offering, and his industry experience in biosciences is highly relevant.

"Kevin is taking the position formerly held by Basil Brookes, who stepped down in July, and who we thank again for his exceptional contribution to the Board."
